Music Ensembles

Course numbers are given for lower level and upper level study. Admission to upper level study is granted upon successful completion of four semesters of lower level study and/or recommendation of the ensemble director. Each course number may be repeated for credit up to four times, for a total of eight semesters. Membership in ensembles is open to all PBA students. Standard Ensembles (Oratorio Chorus, Concert Choir, Women’s Chorale, PBA Symphony, and Symphonic Band) are offered each semester. Additional ensembles are offered as enrollment permits. Contact the department of music for information on ensemble offerings, openings in particular groups, and audition requirements for those groups requiring an audition. In order to maintain an annual calendar of performances, membership in an ensemble normally requires participation for both Fall and Spring semesters of an academic year.
No ensemble may be audited; ensemble courses must be taken for credit.
