Students can pursue a variety of opportunities to complement their studies through international education. Participation in these opportunities is an educational privilege awarded to students in good standing in the areas of academics, discipline, Workship, and Chapel. RCEL offers a variety of rigorous international academic programs, as well as volunteer opportunities abroad for students and faculty to serve.
International Travel Fee
All faculty, staff, students and guests who travel internationally with PBA are required to pay the International Travel Fee. This fee partially offsets the costs of enrollment in the travel application management system as well as other operational and administrative expenses.
Study Abroad
PBA students are eligible to study abroad when they reach junior academic-standing (60+ credit hours) and have completed two semesters at PBA. With help from an RCEL Study Abroad Advisor, PBA students are able to enroll in their preferred host university abroad, receiving full academic credit towards their four-year degree plan, all while utilizing most or all of their financial aid.
With more than 20 locations available, students will be able to find the experience that is best for them.

Class Abroad
In addition to study abroad programs, the RCEL office offers short-term, faculty-led programs, known as Class Abroad. Each Class Abroad program is planned by select faculty members who organize an academic course with an international travel component. In the past, such trips have included destinations like Israel, Paris, China, and Germany. Students receive academic credit for the course while getting hands-on experience in their studies.
