    Summarizes the strategic management of information systems, information technology (IT), applications, and cybersecurity. Emphasizes emerging digital trends within IT hardware, software, data management and networking systems. Highlights the importance of IT systems, applications, and platforms to improve business intelligence and operations. Identifies essential policies, tools, and technologies for safeguarding information resources against cybersecurity threats.

  • BUS 5673 - Optimization and Simulation

    3 Credit Hours
    Applies linear, integer, and nonlinear optimization techniques to maximize or minimize a business objective in the presence of existing constraints. Uses simulation techniques to evaluate the impact of uncertainty on a decision. Emphasizes the process of taking actual business problems and transforming them into formulated models that can be solved using optimization methods.

  • BUS 5683 - Design and Development of Business Analytics Systems

    3 Credit Hours
    Capstone course for the Business Analytics major. Applies a system approach to solving a major real-world industry problem spanning multiple business disciplines. Incorporates the spectrum of data analytics methods including data queries, mining, visualization, regression, time series forecasting, optimization and simulation using advanced software systems. Students will focus on applying these techniques in order to develop a business strategy resulting in actionable recommendations.

  • BUS 5693 - Business Intelligence

    3 Credit Hours
    Applies descriptive analytical techniques to manage and improve the organization’s current operational performance. Describes the analysis, design, and implementation of business intelligence systems, including data warehousing, data mining, and data reporting. Identifies considerations associated with selection of key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and reports. Students will apply these techniques to business problems through case-and/or project-oriented methodologies, focused on producing operational benefits for organizations.

    An examination of the assessment and treatment of trauma and trauma disorders in adults and children.
