MAT 3523 - History & Philosophy of Mathematics3 Credit Hour(s) This course will be the study of the development of mathematics from Adam, when God told him to take dominion over His creation, to the present. The worldview of several mathematicians and cultures will be studied. Of particular interest will be why mathematics and the natural sciences flourished in certain cultures, but stagnated in others.
Prerequisite: MAT 1803 or equivalent with a grade of at least “C-” Availability: Odd Falls
