NUR 3123 - Medical-Surgical Nursing I: Theory

This course is the first of three Medical-Surgical theory courses that provide a basis for the generalist graduate nurse while building on NUR 3104. The concepts of health promotion, disease prevention, and disease process for diverse adult and older adult populations and their affected families are introduced. The nursing process, based on the General System Theory will be used to guide care for potential, acute, and chronic health care problems as well as the promotion of wellness.
