NUR 3323 - Psychiatric & Mental Health Nursing: Theory

This course reinforces mental health theories and concepts as necessary for the development of therapeutic relationships with individuals, families, and at risk groups who have actual and potential mental health stressors. General System Theory and the nursing process are used to develop client-centered nursing actions to maintain wellness across the lifespan. Critical thinking, therapeutic use of self, and communication skills are emphasized.
