EDU 4353 - Foundations of Secondary Language, Cognition, and Research3 Credit Hour(s) Employs principles of scientifically-based reading research as the foundation of comprehensive instruction that synchronizes and scaffolds the five major components of the reading process: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Integrates major reading components for classroom instructional strategies. Field experience is included. Education majors only.
Prerequisite: Pass first screening, EDU 1013 , EDU 2001 , EDU 4163 , EDU 4173 , EDU 4183 , EDU 4243 and EDU 4143 Availability: Spring
