BIO 3221 - Introduction to Scientific Research1 Credit Hour(s) This course will prepare students for careers in any field of science. Students will be introduces to science philosophy and how it applies to the process of scientific research. The course will also cover basics on how to successfully design experiments and observational studies, including basic concepts of how to consider statistical analysis when designing studies. Lastly, students will be taught the fundamentals of how to communicate in science, which includes how to write scientific papers and give presentations at scientific meetings.
Prerequisite: BIO 1103 - Biology I , BIO 1101 - Biology I Laboratory , BIO 1113 - Biology II , and BIO 1111 - Biology II Laboratory Availability: Fall/Spring
