EDU 4353 - Foundations of Language, Cognition, and Research-Based Practices

Employs principles of scientifically-based reading research as the foundation of comprehensive instruction that synchronizes and scaffolds the five major components of the reading process: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Integrates major reading components for classroom instructional strategies. Field experience is included. Education majors only.

Prerequisite: Pass first screening, EDU 1013, EDU 2001, EDU 4163, EDU 4173, EDU 4183, EDU 4243 and EDU 4143
