It will be oriented around the practices common in collegiate mock trial, which is a forum for undergraduate students to participate in trial advocacy that is sponsored by the American Mock Trial Association. In this course, the student will be assigned either an attorney or a witness role on a litigation team in a hypothetical legal case. Through quizzes, examinations, and trial simulation the student will learn how to excel in the assigned role: to apply the evidence to the law, to present a well-organized case, to portray a convincing witness, and to persuade a jury.
