Chemistry, Physics and Oceanography

The Department of Chemistry, Physics and Oceanography at PBA seeks to encourage its students to develop mental abilities, to think critically, to integrate Christian faith with their discipline, to understand themselves and their environment through chemistry and physics. The curriculum is designed to provide a major and a minor in chemistry and to satisfy the requirements in chemistry and physics for professional programs in the medical sciences, engineering, and biology. Courses offered for non-science majors are PHY 1033 - The Cosmos PHY 1063 - Acoustics of Music , ESC 1043 - Introductory Earth Science  and OCY 1043 - Oceans  . Corresponding laboratory courses are available for students who need a laboratory course to fulfill their general education requirement.
