Associate of Arts in Pre-Engineering Studies

This degree program is part of a joint degree option between Palm Beach Atlantic University and the University of Florida College of Engineering.

The Pre-Engineering Associates of Arts degree was designed to prepare students for programs of study in all disciplinary areas in the University of Florida College of Engineering (UFCoE). Upon satisfactory completion of this program, with a combined minimum technical grade point average of 2.5 in the mathematics and natural science categories, students will be eligible for admission into the College of Engineering, subject to compliance with UFCoE admission requirements. Please note that programs of study in the College of Engineering are limited access programs and thus admission is not guaranteed but is awarded on a competitive basis. It should also be noted that some of the non-science credits completed at Palm Beach Atlantic University to meet AA degree requirements may not be transferable to the Bachelor of Science degree programs. A Bachelor of Science degree may be earned in any of the following majors: Aerospace Engineering, Agricultural & Biological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Engineering Science, Geomatics, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, and Nuclear Engineering Sciences. Students should refer to the Transfer Advisement Manual for details of programmatic requirements for the Bachelor of Science degree for each major.
