PHR 1161 - Spiritual and Professional Values in Healthcare1 Credit Hours This course provides students with an understanding of the mission and core values of the Gregory School of Pharmacy and how those values relate to generally-accepted standards of behavior and professionalism within the profession of pharmacy. Particular attention is placed on the benefits of approaching both pharmacy education and pharmacy practice from the perspective of a Christian theistic worldview. Students are given practical examples of how spiritual growth can lead to personal and professional growth. A major project within the course involves analyzing the components of the GSP Professional Covenant and collaboratively constructing a class-specific pledge. Students also explore the GSP code of conduct in relation to moral virtue and Biblical truth.
