PHA 4519 - Veterinary Medicine4 Credit Hours This elective rotation introduces students to clinical pharmacy practice in the veterinary medicine practice setting. This rotation is designed to further develop the student’s knowledge and understanding of the pharmacist’s role in veterinary therapeutics including medication selection, preparation, and monitoring, patient-owner counseling, and office team interaction and management. The student will be responsible for check-in, assessment, therapeutic medication selection, communication with veterinary team, and counseling. The student will develop the skills necessary to effectively provide pharmaceutical care to non-human species.
Prerequisite: Completion of all first, second and third year pharmacy classes
