NUR 2003 - Introduction to Professional Nursing3 Credit Hour(s) This course is an overview of the nursing profession for nursing majors. The Christian, historical, professional, philosophical, theoretical, scientific, educational, legal, and ethical bases of the nursing profession are presented as well as contemporary nursing opportunities and the realities of nursing practice in various settings in the 21st century. The course introduces selected nursing theory and concepts in the provider of care role that affords holistic nursing care to individuals.
Prerequisite: Provisional acceptance to Upper-Division Nursing Program or Permission of the Instructor Availability: Spring/Summer
