LDR 5013 - Foundations of Leadership Development3 Credit Hours This course provides a foundational exploration of the discipline of leadership studies including definitions, theory and practice. Students will examine the history of leadership thought and how leadership theory has evolved over time. Students will examine key practices of effective leadership to enhance personal leadership abilities while assessing leadership strengths and styles. They will be introduced to academic writing at the Master’s level to learn APA formatting as well as analysis and synthesis thinking required at the graduate level.
