LDR 5153 - Finance for Leaders3 Credit Hours Finance must be understood to effectively lead all types of organizations. Leaders must be able to interpret the financial information contained in budgets, financial statements, and operational reports in order to be able to effectively evaluate the organization’s financial and organizational performance and to apply financial information when making decisions. This course will focus on the interpretation and use of basic financial information by non-financial leaders. The course will examine the topics of basic accounting principles, financial statement structure, ratio analysis, cash flow and break-even analysis, budgeting, and the time value of money.
