PRX 4546 - Diabetes Management Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience

The Diabetes Management APPE elective rotation offers student the opportunity to provide medication therapy management and disease state specific education pertinent to the management of diabetic patients in an inpatient acute care and/or outpatient environment. The student acts as a member of the health care team and is involved with patient monitoring, decisions regarding drug therapy, counseling of patients and care givers on diabetic medications, glucose monitoring, as well as pertinent nutrition and lifestyle factors related to diabetes management and provision of drug information to team members.
