PRX 1251 - Pharmaceutical Compounding Laboratory1 Credit Hours Pharmaceutical compounding is the extemporaneous preparation of pharmaceutical dosage forms. Students will be required to prepare, mix assemble, package, and label a drug or device a practitioner’s prescription drug order. This laboratory course will convey a fundamental understanding of the practices involved in developing and preparing compounded liquid, semisolid and solid dosage forms utilizing pharmaceutical principles and techniques.
Prerequisite: PRX 1114 and PRX 1142 Availability: Spring
