HSC 6083 - Medicinal Biochemistry

Advanced evaluation of structure, properties, function, equilibrium, and thermodynamic processes relevant to biologically important macromolecules including: proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, and carbohydrates. Examination of metabolic processes leading to the generation of cellular function and dysfunction will include a focus on nucleic acids, proteins, nitrogen metabolism, cellular signaling, and recent advances in biochemistry.
