PHR 3211 - Doctoral Seminar: Professional Presentations1 Credit Hours This course focuses on formal presentation skills. Students research contemporary health topics, interpret and evaluate literature, organize materials, prepare audiovisual materials, and deliver the presentation to a professional audience. Students are expected to integrate pharmacy knowledge and skills into the doctoral level presentation. Presentation topics relate to one of the following categories: 1) a drug with a recently FDA-approved indication; 2) a non-FDA approved use of a drug; 3) an area of therapeutic controversy; or 4) a pharmacoeconomic and/or political issue affecting healthcare or more specifically, the pharmacy profession. Students also are required to assess the presentation skills of classmates.
