   |  PLS 4223 - American Criminal Law3 Credit Hour(s)Students will be given an advanced survey of the purpose and sources of criminal law in the United States. Students will learn about the elements of a crime, the types of crimes, and common defenses. The students will also explore criminal procedure and the rights of the accused. Criminal sentencing and punishments will be explored, with a special focus on the biblical perspective of justice.
