FOR 3011 - Forensic Microscopy Laboratory1 Credit Hour(s) This course explores the application of microscopy in forensic science, focusing on its role in detecting, examining, and evaluating trace evidence. The students will be introduced to accurately examining trace evidence using microscopic techniques and methods. The students will use stereo-, compound light, polarizing, and/or scanning electron microscopy to analyze biological, chemical, and physical evidence during the laboratory. Additionally, students will learn to document their findings precisely, carefully, and in detail, as a forensic scientist may be called upon in court to provide expert testimony and explain their data.
Prerequisite: CHM 1013 and BIO 1103 Corequisite: FOR 3013 Availability: WPB: Fall
