Degree Requirements (36 Credit Hours)

(will not meet requirements for licensure or certification)

Sequence of Courses:

The following courses must be taken in the first two semesters of the program:

Note:

The remaining courses can be taken in any sequence when the courses are offered, with one exception: PSY 5223 - Psychopathology  must precede PSY 5203 - Treatment Planning  (if taken).

A student who starts in this General Studies track but later decides to become a licensed mental health professional may transfer all their coursework into meeting the requirements for one of the other tracks contingent upon two conditions:

  1. They meet the candidacy requirements for the track into which they wish to transfer, and
  2. They must transfer into the new track before graduating (i.e., they could not use the same courses toward two Master’s degrees).
