Degree Requirements (36 Credit Hours)
(will not meet requirements for licensure or certification) Elective Courses
Please select six of the following Sequence of Courses:
The following courses must be taken in the first two semesters of the program: Note:
The remaining courses can be taken in any sequence when the courses are offered, with one exception: PSY 5223 - Psychopathology must precede PSY 5203 - Treatment Planning (if taken).
A student who starts in this General Studies track but later decides to become a licensed mental health professional may transfer all their coursework into meeting the requirements for one of the other tracks contingent upon two conditions:
- They meet the candidacy requirements for the track into which they wish to transfer, and
- They must transfer into the new track before graduating (i.e., they could not use the same courses toward two Master’s degrees).
