General Education Requirements - 38 Credit Hours
Theatre majors must meet the Baccalaureate Degree Requirements * as set out in the General Education Program .
- Fine Art Requirement: Theatre majors fulfill the two-hour fine arts elective through major study.
- Global Studies Requirement: Theatre majors fulfill the three-hour global studies elective through major study.
Required School of Communication and Media Courses - 9 Credit Hours
Required Theatre Courses - 31 Credit Hours
Practica - 8 Credit Hours

These practical applications of competencies may be repeated for credit. Enrollment is offered by instructor approval only through an audition/interview process. Theatre majors must fulfill the requirements of one of the following tracks:
Acting for Stage & Screen Track - 28 Credit Hours
Note:
6 additional required credit hours are needed to meet the 120 total and the 42 upper-division credit hour requirements.
Musical Theatre Track - 27 Credit Hours
Note:
7 additional required credit hours needed to meet the 120 total and the 42 upper level credit hour requirements.
Theatre Technology & Design Track - 20 Credit Hours
Note:
Students in this track must take ART 1123 - Drawing I to fulfill the Fine Art elective in the General Education Program.
14 additional required credit hours are needed to meet the 120 total and the 42 upper-level credit hour requirements. |
