The Bachelor of General Studies Degree (BGS) is awarded upon completion of PBA’s required General Studies Degree program. In addition to the General Education requirements of 43 credits, a student must complete an approved General Studies area concentration to include, but not limited to, a minimum of 21 credit hours of 3000 or above level work. As with all undergraduate degrees, a student must complete a total of 120 credits, 42 of which must be upper-level, to be graduated. To apply for candidacy, the student should have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours of college work, and an application should be made no later than one full semester prior to graduation. A student is admitted to the program with the approval of the Registrar. Application for admission into the program can be made through the Office of the Registrar.
