Global Studies Requirement

**(If foreign language classes in Spanish, German, or French are not taken at PBA.) Any foreign language course taken in Spanish, German, or French at PBA will satisfy the Global Studies requirement.

Foreign Language Requirement

English majors must successfully complete at least two semesters of elementary foreign language study OR one semester of intermediate foreign language study at the college level. Students may meet this requirement by successfully completing two elementary courses in one or more foreign languages with a final grade of C- or higher OR completing one intermediate course in a foreign language with a final grade of C- or higher.

No CLEP, AP, or transient study credits may be used to fulfill this requirement.

English Majors taking foreign language requirement courses in Spanish, French or German at PBA should use one of these courses to fulfill the Global Studies requirement.

English Major Requirements

Students should refer to Programs of Study  of the catalog for specific requirements in Areas I, II and III. Selections should be made to complete each of these requirement sections appropriately.

English Major Electives - All English electives must be numbered 3000 or higher.
