Choose One Minor - 18 Credit Hours


Elementary education majors may select an academic minor from the following Programs: Exceptional Student Education or Pre-Kindergarten/Primary. In addition, students have the option of selecting any minor from the PBA catalog.

Pre-Kindergarten/Primary Minor requires fingerprinting and fieldwork

Note:


ESE Minor requires fingerprinting and field work
FE Courses require 16 hours in the schools

Articulation


Students with an A.A. Degree from a Florida accredited college or university may matriculate into the elementary education program. Please refer to “Elementary Education/K-6 ESOL Endorsement 2012-13: Students with an AA Degree” in Degree Plans  of this catalog.

Note:


Elementary Education majors must take EDU 2133  to meet the General Education Social Science Requirement; EDU 2313  to meet the General Education Global Studies requirement; and MUS 3062  to meet the General Education Fine Arts requirement.

Honors students majoring in Elementary Education do not need a minor, however additional Honors electives are required.
