Location(s): West Palm Beach Campus (Day)

60 Credit Hours

Aim and Outcomes

The aim of the Master of Arts, Christian Studies and Master of Science, Ethics and Organizational Behavior dual degree program (MACS + EOB) is to combine a broad graduate theological education with graduate education in leadership. This degree is designed for those seeking academic and/or spiritual enrichment, but not for those pursuing vocational ministerial positions. For additional information, see each degree in the relevant section of the Graduate and Pharmacy Catalog.

Structure and Delivery

See each degree in the relevant section of the Graduate and Pharmacy Catalog.

Program Length

Dual degrees allow students to complete two degrees simultaneously with fewer credit hours required than if completing those degrees separately. Dual-degree students can complete the dual-degree requirements in either two and one half or three years (6–9 credit hours each semester, in addition to Summer courses), depending on course availability and student pace. For additional information, see each degree in the relevant section of the Graduate and Pharmacy Catalog.

Admission

Dual-degree applicants must be accepted into each program independently. The admission requirements and process for each degree may be found in the relevant Admission section of the Graduate and Pharmacy Catalog.

Degree Requirements

All dual-degree students studying for the MACS + EOB dual degrees (60 credit hours) will complete the specified MACS and EOB courses. For the MACS, dual-degree students will complete eight courses from the MACS Core, as follows: two courses in Old Testament (6 credit hours), two courses in New Testament (6 credit hours), two courses in Theology (6 credit hours), and two courses in Practical Theology (6 credit hours), and two elective courses within the School of Ministry (6 credit hours). Students who have successfully completed the Master’s Thesis (courses THL 6001 and THL 6102), however, fulfill the comprehensive examination requirement. The Master’s Thesis courses can also count towards the MACS elective requirements. For the EOB, dual-degree students will complete 30 credit hours of specified courses.
