45 Credit Hours, 720 NP Clinical and 250 Practicum Hours
DNP-FNP Program Learning Outcome (SACSCOC program measure for concentrations): At the completion of the program, graduates will demonstrate competency in the role of the family nurse practitioner through health promotion and primary care management for individuals across the lifespan.
This DNP concentration is designed to prepare nurses to provide primary care across the lifespan.
Students are eligible to sit for the ANCC or AANP FNP National Board Certification upon completion of the NP program and apply for Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) Licensure in the State of Florida.
Emphasis is on the provision of health promotion and disease prevention in primary care settings and the application of evidence-based practice and quality improvement to improve patient outcomes.
Students are required to attend 3 in-person sessions per semester, on campus, during the four specialty courses.
