NUR 2023 - Health Assessment with Lab3 Credit Hour(s) This course introduces the nursing process with an emphasis on assessment, based on General System Theory, to determine the health status of diverse individuals across the lifespan. Communication skills, interview techniques, health history, and physical exam skills are introduced. Opportunities to apply health assessment skills, documentation, and critical thinking for nursing care planning are provided. Students enrolling in this course must also enroll in the corresponding application section (NUR 2020).
Prerequisite: BIO 2283 and BIO 2281 Corequisite: NUR 2013 and NUR 2020 ; BIO 2293 and BIO 2291 ; Provisional acceptance to Upper-Division Nursing Program Availability: Spring/Summer
