PRX 3251 - Doctoral Candidate Seminar1 Credit Hours This course focuses on formal presentation skills. Students research contemporary health topics, interpret and evaluate literature, organize materials, prepare audiovisual materials, and deliver the presentation to a professional audience. Students are expected to integrate pharmacy knowledge and skills into the doctoral level presentation. Presentation topics relate to one of the following categories: 1) a drug with a recently FDA-approved indication; 2) a non-FDA-approved use of a drug; 3) an area of therapeutic controversy; or 4) a pharmacoeconomic and/or political issue affecting healthcare or more specifically, the pharmacy profession. Students also are required to assess the presentation skills of themselves and their classmates.
