PRX 3203 - Pharmacy Management and Informatics

3 Credit Hours

This course provides an overview of management principles and explores applications to the profession of pharmacy. Emphasis is placed on the practical management of pharmacy systems, from the perspective of strategic plans, operations, finances, personnel, and health information. Pharmacy informatics is concerned with the use of technology to improve patient care as well as increasing patient safety. Coursework consists primarily of didactic lecture/discussion and case discussions/debates.
