EDU 1013 - Introduction to Teaching

This course briefly examines historical and philosophical foundations of education, as well as pertinent topics such as instructional tools, the Florida Accomplished Practices, Sunshine State Standards and the role of the teacher. In addition, entrance requirements for admission to the Department of Education will be addressed, as well as differences in general education requirements for various education majors. A 10-hour experiential component is required. Christian worldview and philosophy will be addressed.
