HHP 3323 - Orthopedic Examination of the Upper & Lower Extremities3 Credit Hour(s) In this course a comprehensive approach to orthopedic examination of the upper and lower body for patients will be presented. Emphasis will be placed on appropriate clinical evaluation of orthopedic injuries for the purposes of: 1) accurate diagnosis 2) appropriate medical documentation 3) medical decision-making 4) appropriate medical referrals and 5) classification if injury type and severity. During this course, students will be asked to integrate and develop the knowledge, critical thinking, problem solving, and hands-on skills in preparation for a career in physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training, or allied health.
