PHR 1213 - Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics3 Credit Hours This course examines the physiological and biochemical factors that affect drug absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and elimination (ADME). The principles and methods of bioavailability and bioequivalence determination will be discussed as they pertain to generic substitution and regulatory approval of generic products. Pharmacokinetic concepts and theories will be introduced and applied to the kinetic analyses of ADME processes. The pharmacokinetic basis of dosage regimen and therapeutic drug monitoring will be introduced.
