EOB 5113 - Philosophy of Moral Leadership3 Credit Hours This course offers an exploration of organizational ethics by introducing various and rival moral philosophies that exist in pluralistic organizations. Students will examine the meaning and importance of ethics, values, and moral principals in relation to corporate responsibility. Students will analyze moral philosophy, ethics, and related values to gain a better understanding of how they impact a leader’s attitudes, intentions and behaviors that might enable or hinder growth and development of the individual and the organization. Students will engage in readings and research in moral philosophy and theological ethics in order to create a higher level of self-awareness and a better understanding of leadership theories and concepts.
Note: This course is reading intensive. Students unfamiliar with philosophical writings may need to make appropriate preparations and allocate additional time to comprehend the challenging texts. Availability: Spring B Term
