EOB 5033 - History of Ethics3 Credit Hours This course examines the history of ethical thought from ancient Greece to the present age focusing on, but not limited to, Western Tradition. The course will emphasize on the four main categories of ethics: deontology, consequentialism & utilitarianism, virtue theory, and contractarianism. Students will understand these differing views and synthesize their learning producing graduate level philosophical paper by applying these various traditions to relevant organizational and societal contexts.
Note: This course is reading intensive. Students unfamiliar with philosophical writings and research methodology may need to make appropriate preparations and allocate additional time to comprehend texts. Availability: Spring A Term
