PAS 5031 - Genetics for Health Care Providers

1 Credit Hours

The course will introduce the student to genetic diseases and teach skills in identifying individuals and families for genetic evaluation. Common genetic diseases will be discussed along with the relevancy of patient counseling and disease management. Ethical and legal issues will be discussed as well. The course will be taught via lecture and case-based discussions in small groups.
