FOR 4111 - Forensic Chemistry Laboratory1 Credit Hour(s) This course applies the major chemical principles, methods, and instrumentation to analyze chemical trace evidence from a crime scene. Special attention will be given to determining and selecting accurate presumptive and confirmatory methods for analyzing physical evidence to solve misconduct. The students will be introduced to the accurate examination of physical evidence and draw clear, precise conclusions from the conducted analyses. Additionally, students will learn to document their findings precisely, carefully, and in detail, as a forensic chemist may be called upon in court to provide expert testimony and explain their data.
Prerequisite: CHM 2011 and CHM 2013 Corequisite: FOR 4113 Availability: WPB: Fall
