EDU 4353 - Foundations of Secondary Language, Cognition, and Research

Synchronizes and scaffolds the five major components of the reading process: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Integrates major reading components for classroom instructional strategies. Requires 16 hours of practicum.

Prerequisite: EDU 1013, EDU 9910, EDU 9990, EDU 9920, and one of the following: EDU 4163, EDU 4173, EDU 4183, EDU 4243, or EDU 4143.
