PHL 3183 - Existentialism

Existentialism is the philosophy of No Excuses. This course emphasizes the existence of the individual person as a free and responsible agent. Primary attention will be given to Søren Kierkegaard, often regarded as the father of existentialism. A major theme of the course is “becoming a self” through one’s passionate commitments.
