MIN 4713 - Practicum in Ministry

3 Credit Hours

Enables you to learn about and acquire practical experience in an area of ministry related to the major or minor you are pursuing in the School of Ministry. (Majors: Cross-Cultural Studies and Ministry; Minor: Student Ministries). This course integrates hands-on experience in ministry (“field service”), in-class analysis of ministry experience, discussion of the practice and ethics of ministry, and academic assignments (reading and written projects). Field placement is arranged by the student in consultation with the faculty advisor. Areas of field placement may be, among others, pastoral ministry, youth ministry, Christian education ministry, para-church organization, and cross-cultural ministry.
