The major in Ministry with a concentration in Pastoral Ministries exists to assist students in acquiring/developing the knowledge, skills, and character necessary for ministry within a local church—though it also would apply to some parachurch organizations that have a similar focus. While many students completing this major will pursue graduate or seminary education, many may utilize their training upon graduation to serve in various capacities on the staff of a church: administrative positions, adult ministries, pastoral ministries, discipleship ministries.
