• EDU 3073 - Elementary Language and Cognition (Fall only)*
• EDU 3323 - Literacy Assessment and Instruction for Diverse Learners (Fall only)*
• PLS 3003 - Freedom in American Society OR  ECO 3813 - American Free Enterprise  

• Pass General Knowledge Exam (GK) All 3000-4000 courses require a passing score on the GK exam. *Policy is waived for conferred AA students to take EDU 3073 & EDU 3323 only, during their initial semester at PBA.

Semester Three - 18 Hours

• EDU 2313 - Cultural Dimensions of ESOL
• EDU 3173 - Foundations of Assessment
• EDU 4053 - Teaching Mathematics in the Elementary School (Fall only)
• EDU 4083 - Teaching Science in the Elementary School (Fall only)
• EDU 4363 - Foundations and Applications of Differentiated Literacy Instruction (Fall only)
• THL 4153 - Christian Values and Biblical Faith

• Pass Professional Education Exam (PED)

  Pass Subject Area Exam (SAE)

  Apply for Second Screening (Student Teaching) Passing PED and SAE/Second Screening are required or Student Teaching

Semester Four – 15 Hours

Optional Semester Five – 15 Hours

(Successful completion of this optional semester prepares candidates to apply for ACSI certification)
