36 Credit Hours
Students are required to complete the following courses (total of 36 hours), including either a thesis in an area of concentration or a comprehensive exam.

Master of Arts, Christian Studies Core - 24 Credit Hours
Old Testament Courses - 6 Credit Hours

Electives - 12 Credit Hours
A least nine credit hours of electives must come from graduate courses offered within the School of Ministry, unless otherwise satisfied by transfer credits. Ministry apprenticeship courses may not fulfill any MACS degree requirements.
Comprehensive Examination
MACS students must register for and successfully complete a Comprehensive Examination (THL 6000 ) in their final semester of study. Students who successfully complete a Master’s Thesis, however, fulfill this requirement.
Transfer and Transient Credits
Students accepted into the Master of Arts, Christian Studies (MACS) degree program may transfer up to 12 approved credit hours to satisfy degree requirements. No transient study credit may be applied toward completion of the MACS.
