Degree Prerequisite Courses - 30 Credit Hours
Students should hold a BA or BS in Computer Science or Information Systems. Students may also hold a Baccalaureate degree in another field, with program chair permission. Applicants are expected to have taken and successfully passed the following prerequisite courses or equivalents or primers (below) before entering the program. Students may opt for Early Graduate Admission (EGA) in their Senior year of undergraduate studies. Conditional admission may be granted subject to completion of these courses (3 credits per course).
CSC 2203 Programming I
CSC 2303 Programming II
CSC 3003 Programming III
CSC 2253 Discrete Structures
CSC 2603 Database Systems
CSC 3103 Computer Organization & Operating Systems
As an alternative to the prerequisites above, students may complete these two intensive primer courses before starting the core courses:
CSC 5103 - Primer 1 Programming
CSC 5203 - Primer 2 Computer Algorithms, Organization, & Databases
