Program Learning Outcomes

Resource Manual for the Principles of Accreditation: Foundations for Quality Enhancement, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), 2018. - Integrate a perspective that is formed by the biblical metanarrative and by historical Christian faith, doctrine, and practice into academic inquiry in the major field of study (applied physiology and kinesiology).
- Apply sound quantitative and qualitative research design methods in the field of applied physiology and kinesiology.
- Demonstrate clinical skills and technical expertise with equipment and protocols common in the field of applied physiology and kinesiology.
- Demonstrate foundational knowledge (including first aid, nutrition, biomechanics, physiology, anatomy) appropriate for an individual in the field of applied physiology and kinesiology.
- Integrate concepts from biomechanics, exercise physiology, and motor behavior to solve problems related to health, fitness, rehabilitation, and human performance across diverse populations.
Graduation Requirements
Conferral of a Baccalaureate degree in this program of study is determined by successful completion of the Baccalaureate Graduation Requirements outlined here . NOTE: Students must earn 39 upper level (3000-4000) credit hours in order to graduate. A total of at least 21 of these upper level credit hours must be completed in the selected major. Applied Physiology and Kinesiology majors must complete the Baccalaureate Degree Requirements (Bachelor’s Degrees) as set out in the Faith, Roots, and Reason Program . The Faith, Roots, and Reason (General Education) Science, Social Science, and Physical Education requirements are fulfilled through other courses in this major. Only 36 of the 43 credit hours of the Faith, Roots, and Reason (General Education) program will still be required for the completion of this program.
