PHR 1251 - Drug Delivery Systems and Compounding Lab1 Credit Hours This course provides an opportunity for students to develop skills for the preparation and dispensing of pharmaceutical solutions, emulsions, suspensions, semi-solid and solid dosage forms, and parenterals. Laboratory exercises emphasize the selection of excipients for extemporaneous compounding, the performance of aseptic technique, preparation of small and large volume parenterals, safe handling of chemotherapy, quality assurance, documentation, and patient counseling.
